Kat Austin, MA, LMFT, LPC, LAC
Kat Austin received her MA in Counseling Psychology with a specialization in Couples and Family Therapy from the University of Colorado at Denver. Kat works with couples, families, and individuals (adolescents, young adults, and adults). Kat has a foundational belief that all human beings have an innate healing capacity. Kat works to champion that capacity through undoing aloneness for the client and through in-depth processing of difficult emotional and relational experiences. It is through this—clients can rediscover their own vitality and delight in life. Kat is certified in Emotionally Focused Therapy and has further training in AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Therapy), Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). Kat has also been a clinical supervisor for 6 years and is a AAMFT Approve Supervisor Candidate. Alongside her practice, Kat is an adjunct faculty at the University of Colorado at Denver.
