We also offer Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills training in an individual format. The term "dialectical" comes from the idea of bringing together two opposites in therapy. A unique aspect of DBT is its focus on accepting your experience while balancing the work needed to change negative behaviors. DBT holds that we function best when we are able to integrate aspects from both ends of the spectrum. There are 4 modules of DBT which include:
Mindfulness
Distress Tolerance
Emotional Regulation
Interpersonal Effectiveness
